Job Summary:
Adrian College's Spiritual Life Department is seeking a motivated and dedicated student intern to support and enrich the spiritual life of the campus community. This internship provides hands-on experience in chapel service planning, event coordination, interfaith networking, and student engagement. The intern will work closely with the Campus Chaplain and the Coordinator of Residence Life to foster a dynamic and inclusive environment for spiritual exploration and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Campus Chaplain to plan and organize Thursday noon chapel services.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of chapel service events, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed efficiently.
• Support the promotion and communication of chapel services to the campus community.
• Gather and disseminate information around spiritual life offerings from both campus and community sources, ensuring students are informed of opportunities for spiritual growth.
• Network and build partnerships with spiritual and religious organizations, both on and off campus, to support college-aged ministry efforts.
• Coordinate planning and logistics for a student mission trip during the spring semester.
• Communicate with the student body to gather input and assess needs and interests regarding spiritual life opportunities.
• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students and guests.
• Participate in regular planning meetings with the Campus Chaplain and Residential Life staff and the Spiritual Life Team.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled as a student at Adrian College.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
• Strong interest in spiritual life, ministry, event planning, and music coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and independently when needed.
• Positive attitude, creativity, and a passion for fostering a vibrant and inclusive spiritual life on campus.
Supervision and Support:
All responsibilities will be carried out under the supervision of the Chaplain’s Office, with guidance and collaboration from the Office of Residential Life. Regular check-ins, mentoring, and feedback will be provided.
